Yaezakura usually start to bloom when other cherry trees such as Someiyoshino have fallen. The number of its petals is over double that of other cherry blossoms, and the colour is a little darker than others. It has been blooming longer than other blossoms.

八重桜は、たいていソメイヨシノなどが散る頃に咲き始めます。花びらの数が他の桜の倍以上あって、色は少し濃いめです。他の桜より長く咲き続けます。

l found lovely Yaezakura in full bloom. It looked like cotton candy. I've never seen such a lovely Yaezakura. My heart leaped up when l saw it! 🌸🍬🍭☺️
