    @Mok @Son JH 🙂 Ok yes, let me try and explain these. I could try in Korean but I think I will make plenty of mistakes😥. Here goes in English🙂. A little bird told me that... (I was told something that may be true) Don't push your luck! (You were already doing well enough, don't get too cocky or you may lose what you've already achieved) Stop spinning yarns / Stop making up stories (Stop lying / Stop gossiping) I call a spade a spade (I say things in a straightforward way)

    @Son JH Great, these are fun to learn😃! “주워들었다” yes👍🏻, in English in this case you can also say "I heard it through the grapevine". “나대지 마라” sounds a bit more general but I can see how it could apply. I like the proverb “벼는 익을수록 고개를 숙인다.”: the nobler, the humbler. I like it better in Korean😍 What is a chengyu? I am wondering if 아버지를 아버지라 부르지 못하고 형을 형이라 부르지 못하랴. has the same sense.🤔 감사합니다 ^^🙂🙂🙂

Don’t push your luck. “나대지 마라” or as a proverb “벼는 익을수록 고개를 숙인다.”- As cereal becomes more ripe, the head hangs down I call a spade a spade. As a Korean chengyu, “호부호형” : 아버지를 아버지라 부르지 못하고 형을 형이라 부르지 못하랴. - I think this can be quite different in cases. 😁
