    @Madden The problem with that is the staff in Japanese restaurants is almost always Chinese. Even in America lol. Next time I go home, I’ll do a prank in a Japanese restaurant and ask why they don’t speak Japanese lol

    @Asaph I wish I knew Korean too. It takes about 4 years of intense studying to reach academic level in a language like that.

    @anming I totally agree with you, intense studies indeed because I've been here for almost a decade but the only Korean I can speak is * SURVIVAL* . The environment you work in and how dedicated one is to learning a new language plays a very important role. I salute you 👍

    This is brilliant. I lived in China for 4 years and it was a always a breath of fresh air speaking Chinese there and seeing their expectations shattered. It’s even more of a scene when a Japanese person finds out that you can speak and understand Japanese 😂 especially if they are gossiping

It is kinda late here but I am very curious as to how you did it. ...please don't let it be one of those "born with an ability to..." things. I'd like to pick your brain some time (when it isn't this late).

    Awesome! I surprised some Chinese and Koreans by speaking their languages to them when I was in Japan recently—even though I’m only a beginner in Chinese and Korean. They still didn’t expect me to be able to say anything in Chinese or Korean, so it was great.
