No comiences una pregunta con “someone/somebody” en inglés. Es

común usar “alguien” al principio de una pregunta en español, pero no traduzcas estas preguntas al inglés literalmente porque las estructuras son diferentes y suena muy raro. En inglés, necesitas ciertas palabras al principio de una pregunta. Aquí está una muestra:

1. Do o Does
2. Una forma del verbo TO BE como “Is” o “Are”
3. Un verbo modal como:
- Can
- Could
- Would
- Should

Por ejemplo:

¿Alguien para hablar?
Someone to talk? ❌
Does anyone want to talk? ✅
Somebody to chat? ❌
Does anyone want to chat? ✅
Does anybody want to chat? ✅

Puedes usar “someone/somebody” al principio de una declaración. Recuerda que una declaración no es una pregunta. La diferencia es importante.

Alguien comió la comida.
Someone ate the food. ✅
Somebody ate the food. ✅

Someone knows the answer? ❌
Somebody knows the answer? ❌
Does anyone know the answer? ✅
