I have a question.

What do you talk about when you make a voice

call?

I eager to practice speaking, and a voice call is very effective for it. So I wanna make a voice call more and more (actually I've tried it only once).

But it's kind of a shot in the dark for me to make a voice call without preparing🕳
I know I think too much but I can't stop thinking about it😂

I know my English skill what I have now is not for practical use. I need prepare before I speak something. Without preparing anything, nothing may well come to my mind😦😦😦
But when we make a conversation, I must respond quickly, right? That's the problem. Nevertheless to say this is also the big problem: I'm too shy😂😂😂

It's a little weird but I think I need prepare what to talk anyway😂

So what do you talk about with your language partners?
Is this the next theme of my voice call?🤣 What a boring person I am( ;∀;)

    相手の人によるかも。黙ってる人やワットアーユードゥーイング?しか聞かれないと困る。今何してるのって…あなたと話してますとしか…🤣🤣🤣

A lot of people I talk to don’t bring any conversation topics. I tend to talk about things around me like culture or news and then we discuss our opinions.

Depending on the persons skill level I usually have as normal a conversation with them as possible. With someone who is still very new or shy I allow them to ask questions and lead the conversation at their pace, it’s understandable to be nervous and shy but just be patient. General questions or topics that go well are hobbies weather or daily activities.

Ask them what their interests are. Hopefully they answer with something interesting and you can talk about that.

It’s normal to feel uncomfortable the first time. You just need to practice. The more you speak easier it get. So yes, you can write a little text first. But little by little, try to say something you didn’t prepare in advance. Nobody will juge you here so don’t be afraid and try to relax. 😌 You can start with basic things about you : where you live, your age, the things you like... be simple. When you will feel more confident you will be able to challenge yourself 😊

You can basically talk about anything. Movies, food, fashion. Anything that they might fancy. Avoid politics though as it is not an ideal topic.
