i thought '좋아해요' = i like
'좋아요' = good
am i wrong..?
when i

said i liked something i wrote '좋아해요' but someone corrected and said i should have written '좋아요'.. now im confused ㅠㅠ

    Like and good is same sound of Korean '좋아요' or '좋아해요' Like is verb / good is adjective And '좋아요' is '나는 사과가 좋아요 or 나는 빵이 좋아요' 가/이 +좋아요 '좋아해요 is '나는 사과를 좋아해요 or 나는 밥을 좋아해요' 를/을 +좋아해요

    @CHOI.Y.K i know its same sound But why he corrected when i wanted to say that i LIKE something ? Its just confusing people for no reason and i wrote it so why was there need for correction ?

    빗소리'를' 좋아해요. 빗소리'가' 좋아요. When you want to use 좋아하다, you have to put 을/를 i, And 좋아요, you have to put 이/가

    I see why he did that. It is technically wrong to write "잠자는 동안 비 소리가 좋아해요" because then the subject would be 비 소리 so you have to write 좋아요 because the 비 소리 cant really "like" anything. if you wanted to use 좋아해요, you should write 잠자는 동안 비 소리를 좋아해요 because then 를 would make 비 소리 the object.

    '좋아해요' is an action verb that means 'to like' and needs an 'Object' While 좋아요 is an 'adjective verb' that describing the state of your possitive feeling on other. 너를 좋아해. I like you. --> act. 네가 좋아. I have a good vibe to(i'm in the state of liking) you. --> describing your own feeling. Both are basically the same but a little different in nuance.

    @ry I think it depends on what kind of postposition you're using.. '좋아요' sounds more natural if you use '소리가'. Depending on the use of the postposition, the intention to speak may be interpreted differently..
