English tip for today is on the phrase “scoot

over” scoot over means to move your physical location over slightly to the side. Typically in a way that doesn’t require much work or effort.

For example: I was sitting in the middle of the bench and my friend asked if I could scoot over to make room for them to sit next to me. So I slid over to one side and gave them room to sit.
