days ago I wore just a T-shirt. 🤣

This is the continuation of my photo story from this past Saturday. I drove a winding scenic route to a canyon featuring a creek and a nice waterfall.

I had my lunch on the rocks right by the creek and even got in the water to cross to the other side to gain a better vantage point for photos. Even though there were still some patches of snow, the water did not feel that cold. The rock walls are used by climbers and I observed them for a little while. 🧗‍♂️

Just a short distance away is a waterfall accessible by an easy trail. You can feel the cool water even on a warm day. The waterfall is more impressive in spring with the runoff from the melting snow. Last time I visited must have been at least 15 years ago - I went there last year, but the gate was locked (I guess there was trail reconstruction under way).

After that refreshing experience I headed to the town at the mouth of the canyon, but more on that later...
