? 📸Mine would be definitely nature. Especially mountains and water, wildlife and plants. I am fascinated by how a scene can change quickly, with lighting changes, cloudscapes transforming and animals moving about, in particular at sunrise and sunset. I am the kind of person who can forget time and lie in wait for good wildlife shots. I like exploring depth of field and interesting compositions.
I also enjoy travel photography, but it can get challenging, because you often end up merely taking subpar snapshots, when you simply don't have the time to try different angles and positions and crowds can get in the way of a good picture. Travel partners also don't appreciate you spending too much time going for artistic shots...
Today I got lucky with some wildlife present at the lake. A lone elk was taking a bath and walked right past me. Canada geese were navigating the waters and cormorants were fishing and roosting in the trees. Finally, I managed to get a nice shot of a pair of barn swallows. The evening outing is always a highlight of my day during the work week.
