Dunamase Castle, Ireland 🍀
An early Christian settlement in the

9th century. Pillaged by Vikings in 842.
The castle was then built as a Norman fortress in the 12th century.

@rc the Vikings robbed it from the Christians and it lay idle for nearly 200 years until the Normans invaded and built a fortress here.
