I could enjoy my first Japanese wedding for my university friend

Actually, in America there is no fee. Usually people buy a gift or give money. My guess is around $100. However the cost for alcohol and food is much higher than this so it's basically zero. So for example if my normal friend gets married maybe I would get a nice gift plus $100 so total $200?
