I just saw that the Norte Dame de Paris is in fire! I never got

the chance to fly out of the continent but it was my first few places to visit. I hope no one gets hurt by this and hope we can save this beautiful monument

    @Paul Since you brought up “fixing your English”, you should not start a sentence with “because”, followed with an incomplete sentence. You can not determine my belief of a meaning of a word by three example reports. Also, you shouldn’t write “fixing your English”, the correct term is, “correcting your English” or “correcting your mistakes”. You are welcome

    @Paul Your thinking is very bizarre. You totally loss sight of the fact that each of the three cases all had the following in common: 1. All were Religious building, 2. The victims who were attacked were in their buildings of worship was practicing their religion 3. Each case was a terror attack You just focused on the word “attack” and “many people” Stating a number attack doesn’t exclude a single attack. I am born, bred and educated In England. It’s your English and logic that needs serious attention.

    this tread is about an unfortunate event that effects everyone who loves history and respects and love for the French national treasure. Now you seem to be turning it to some sort of fictional Christian persecution which has no relevance.

    @Paul neither reports would really apply since this fire is pointing to an accident caused by workers. It’s a free world, you can post anything you want. However, I prefer relevance to the truth.

You see, when you get into the details in a good paper, it’s highly unlikely to be satanic or an attack even though the title says so. What the article you referred to describes vandalism probably caused by teenagers, in some cases just accidents, not attacks. Thanks for highlighting something that would normally go unreported.

    @maze-runner I actually do keep up with some of the world news, like di you know that today is the 5th anniversary of the sinking of the Sewol Ferry, where it kill roughly 300 people and a majority of them were high school students. Not trying to discredit you because I understand where your statement comes from. Yes a lot of people pray for Notre Dame, but it’s because of it’s historic value it had in all subjects.

    It’s very funny, when things that need people’s prayer happen all over the world, I don’t see any frenzy happening on social media or any hashtags but just a building ( although it has historic significance) is on fire with almost 0 possibilities of any casualty and people are already praying for Notre Dam..... it’s a pity the world we live in now

    Funny thing that made me disgusted is that I heard tourists didn't move AND didn't give place for the fireman to come a bit near it and to save it. ( maybe it's saved now, but I can't watch news right now )

    @tim haha thanks, but we sometimes make mistakes when we write without correcting it. I spell ”Notre” wrong bc I type it so fast and I guess got autocorrected in Spanish.

    @Jen when I visited Dome in 2015, it was in very bad shape. I kept asking some of my "powerful" French friends why no one is doing anything to fund a restoration.

    In Korea, our cultural heritage(숭례문) was burned by someone's intentional fire..can share same feeling..so sad that we lost such a precious piece of history

    Very sad news. Thankfully it was limited to the spire which was undergoing restoration, but you could argue the spire is the iconic part. Where will the hunchback live now? 😅

    It’s so sad, my heart is broken 😔 I can’t believe it’s happening. All the roof is gone, it’s awful. I hope the firefighter saved the most they could, they are doing a great job. It’s such a big loss to the France’s history and patrimony 😢

    @Samuel サミュエル you have to understand what is their ethos, and business model. There are quite a few that can be trusted but you still need to cross reference your news with different sources
