(1/32) This time last year I visited Japan for the first time
. Please feel free to follow along with my travels . 🌸👍Today marks exactly one year since I first visited Japan. I remember feeling excited, full of nervousness and an overall sense of feeling underprepared.
When I entered the country.
I knew only limited Japanese words.
I had no cash, no phone Sim for data, no friends and poor direction skills. What had I just put myself in to??😅😅🤣🤣
It was to be an interesting trip. That much was known 😂
The night before, I arrived in Tokyo city by way of the bus from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station and eventually found my capsule hotel and bunkered down for the night.
Starting the day I was greeted with warm sunny weather. Although it was the beginning of Autumn it was relatively hot and I remember feeling regretful about packing so many warm clothes. (it turned out to be a blessing as I found out along the way).
The first day I caught the train and explored many areas by foot. I was to spend a good week in Tokyo so the first day was just a day of getting acquainted with the area. 😊
By the afternoon I ended up in Taito City, Asakusa Shrine. I had walked many steps. (over 40,000) so it was time to go home. 😪😪🥱
Places visited:
Minato City
Yoyogi Park
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Meiji Jingu
Imperial Palace
Asakusa Shrine
