Good morning everyone!

I recently had someone ask the difference

between the words “hard” and “difficult” - so here it is!

“Hard” has a few meanings
1) property of substance at the moment or in general - ie - solid - firm - not easily bent or broken,
2) taking a great deal of effort

“Difficult” means needing a great deal of effort to accomplish, deal with , satisfy, or understand

The words Difficult and hard can be interchanged in some situations pretty regularly- however I would say that difficult is more often used to describe a person or group of people where as hard is more often used to describe a situation or physical property

I hope you guys found this helpful - please throw a like or comment below- thanks!

Hey Ben, thank you very much. I have a doubt, but it's not about Hard & Difficult. It's about the word DEAL. I realised that you use it in very different situations and it could have a lot of different meanings. It would be great if you explain us a little about that, maybe another day. Thank you again!
