The weather has turned lately

to a stormy pattern with afternoon and evening storms forming almost every day. Humidity has also gone up, so it feels different. It forces me to come out early and I am not one to hit the trail right in the morning if I have a choice. 😴 You can see the effect of the rain immediately. The usually pale green and yellow hillsides turn bright green and flowers bloom in abundance.

Today, I went on a local trail, not wanting to be caught by a storm out in some remote area. This trail features lots of nice rock formations, beautiful views and even a waterfall. There were lots of people around the waterfall, so I was limited in taking pictures, but it was a nice outing overall. The lower parking area was completely overrun with cars, city people like to come up here on weekends even though it's a fairly hidden park, but luckily I know another spot to leave the car. Sometimes it's nice to be a local 🤠.
