In English there is a formal and polite

way of speaking, unfortunately it’s harder to know it since it isn’t in apart of English grammar.

I work with and fir foreigners. Many times their words are too direct and commanding. There are some ways to make your words more polite.

•Don’t use imperative tense (like this sentence)
-imperative form is used by parents, teachers, and close friends
-when you use a translator even if it’s 존댓말 in Korean it will become imperative in English, so change it to be more polite

What you can do is form a question and adding please almost makes everything more polite in English.

> Come to my house at 2pm.👎
> Could you come to my house at 2pm? 👍

> Give me that book.👎
> Could you give me that book please? 👍

Any questions, please leave them in the comments~

@Ryuta りゅうた Mostly if you want to ask someone to or not to do something. Also if you want to say a negative opinion, but that's a bit different.
