    @Weilin initially you might think it’s down to an ‘islander mentality’, but then, I doubt that the people of Madagascar or Cyprus, for example, are very similar. It’s an interesting question.

    I agree but The United Kingdom has more strict rules 規律 than Japan. 全寮制、とても早い年齢から寄宿学校があったり。 日本の学校はイギリスから英語、制服、校則を見習いました。他にも政界にも影響を与えたと思います。

    Feeling towards the USA is definitely different. So many Japanese worship almost everything about the USA.

    I think Japan and Britain are exactly the same. People's temperament and everything are similar. There are some parts that really happen to be similar,and Japan has taken in a lot of British culture for a long time.
