Idiom of the Day

“More than I bargained for”

I am sure in your

life you have had a situation where your perceptions or expectations did not meet reality. Maybe you went on a date with someone that you thought would be a great person, only to find out they had many personal problems. Or you got hired for a job that you thought would be great, only to have a lot of extra duties that the manager never mentioned. In these cases, you got “more than you bargained for.” This idiom shares how overwhelmed you are, and that you may have regrets or want to take back your decision.

@Jennifer Blossom I have never heard of this..! What does it mean? Here in the US, if you have yellow wall paper, it usually means the person in that house is a smoker.
