Ryan’s Word Of The Day: Prolong (verb)

Meaning: Extend

Example

(1): “After flying back to England on February 3rd, I originally thought I’d only stay for a few weeks but now I’ll prolong my stay until the end of March and maybe even the end of April!”

Example (2): “Although the future is unknown, if we eat healthy food, exercise regularly and avoid stress it could prolong our lives.”
