这本来是拳击的术语
我们知道拳击比赛时双方在拳击场上会有一个角落
那个角落裡通常会有几个人负责给拳击加油打气喝水或递毛巾擦脸
讲解战术之类的

所以当「有一个人在你的角落」
就是指有一个/或一群这样的人在一旁为你加油打气、支持你的意思

例子：
I trust my brother completely. He has always been in my corner.

Don’t worry. You have me in your corner.

No matter what happens, know that I’m always in your corner.

2️⃣Are you a laid-back person?
分享一个两个对立的形容词“laid-back“ vs "uptight"
当我们要形容一个人很“淡定”
在遇到任何事情都可以气定神闲不慌不乱
我们可以说他是个Laid-back person

反之
当我们说一个人是个Uptight person则代表他是一个比较神经紧绷的人
内心经常存在各种各样的焦虑
比如考试容易紧张的学生或者容易乱发脾气的老板等

例子：
He is a laid-back person, nothing will bother him

It's a laid-back company, you can choose your own hours and the dress is very casual.

I don't like my boss, he is a uptight person, he would sometimes scream and shout about nothing.

当我们身边有比较容易uptight的人
记得
别死板板的说“relax!”
我们可以和他们说一声“Chill out！”

3️⃣用英文沟通难免经常听漏/听不清/听不懂/跟不上语速
不要害羞于打断对方
只要你打断的方式和语法是正确的
无论如何千万别说“Can you repeat”&"I don't understand"之类的
会显得很没礼貌

--尽量不要用，因为含义太丰富了，容易表达错误

Pardon --比较礼貌的用法的简单版

I beg your pardon
--比较礼貌的用法的完整句子,但表情要真诚，不然有种挑衅的感觉

What was that
--比单纯的下意识的冒出一句what好多了，可以衔接sorry更好

Sorry I don't understand ,could you say that again please
--比较完整的表达自己的情绪（我真的很想听清楚）

Sorry what did you just say
--用来打断比较合适，询问对方最后说出的那一句话
What did you say just then --同上

Sorry I didn't quite catch that --除了表示听不懂，也可以表示听不清

Would you mind speaking up a bit
-- 希望对方大声一点，千万别说“Could you speak more loudly”

Wait a second,i'm a bit lost -- 句子内容听得断断续续的时候
Sorry I'm not following what you're saying -- 同上

I'm sorry to interrupt but ... -- 不得不打断的时候
