    That very helpful Teresa. The one I struggle with is when to use the past simple and the past perfect. In German it’s not a big deal, we usually can use both

    @Bernardo Pescatore hi bernd! We use the simple past/past simple to say what happened in the past, often in sequential order. The past perfect expresses events and actions that occurred prior to another past action (usually expressed in the simple past). For example, When the police arrived, the thief had escaped. In spoken English, it is common to use only the simple past and not the past perfect.

    @Teresa If we give someone something to eat that we say fed him same like that what we will say if we give someone something to drink?
