I have an English phrase for you this morning

! The phrase is “I can’t put my finger on it” now this is not a literal phrase regarding physically putting your finger on anything. This phrase means can’t figure something out - can’t quite understand - not sure about something.

For example: The man at the store seemed so familiar, I’m sure I know him from somewhere, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
