is probably no better song if you want to get a large crowd to sing together. In my home state of Michigan, you will get an even bigger, louder response since the song references Detroit.

The song is about the keyboardist who left his home in Chicago to make it big in California. His dog got hit by a car and he called his dad to ask for money for the vet bill. He considered giving up his dream, but his dad said, “Stick to your guns. Don’t stop believing.”
