I also want to acknowledge, and tell you how sorry I am personally

, that some Americans have accused Chinese people of bringing the virus to our country. This has led to harassment and discrimination against American citizens of Chinese descent. I want you to know how much I and everyone I know deplore this shameful and unwarranted treatment.

As I have traveled and worked in your country I have met many people, and many more on this language app. It has been a wonderful experience. I have encountered nothing but kindness and been made to feel welcome on all my trips.

Your country is magnificent, with such natural beauty, and with everything done on such a grand scale. But I am most impressed by the Chinese people I’ve met, by all of you.

I wish you all the best as we work together to defeat this coronavirus, and I look forward to my next trip to China. ~Michael
