@Seera i see, maybe it’s good for English learners to learn American culture too, kill two birds with one stone lol

  • Seera

@yoshi things like problems with employment/not having stabke work, heartbreak and bonding with flatmates/friends. All of these themes come up in the drama too ~ Ah that’s interesting... although I think the humour may be a tad difficult for Japanese learners to grasp, unless they are rather advanced & have a good understanding of American culture

@Seera oh really I’m curious about what you’ve experienced 😂 You know, friends is really popular for English learners in japan to learn English. If we google like “英語 動画 勉強” we will definitely find recommendations of friends literally every time so I thought it over exaggerates for affiliate marketing or something but it might be truly fun coz even non Japanese like it! Thanks for answering me, my long term doubts is clear now 😁

@yoshi yes I actually have! The relatability factor is very appealing. However, I don’t think I would’ve connected with this show if I wasn’t this age & going through a few tough things life has thrown at me in these past couple of months. As a result... I’ve watched up to season 4 in less than 3 weeks 😂
