Why did my account get suspended?
Your account might have been reported and suspended for breaching the HelloTalk Community Guidelines. These reasons include, but are not limited to:

Providing false personal information or creating an account for anyone other than yourself without permission

Using a name, user ID, nickname, or self-introduction that does not abide by our naming policies

Using a profile picture that does not abide by our content policy, including, but not limited to, company logos, political figures, or other celebrities' photos

Providing a false date of birth, incorrect nationality, or native language

Creating a single account that represents or is used by more than one person

Maintaining multiple accounts

Compromised account

Misusing HelloTalk's reporting systems to harass others

Concealing a Page’s purpose by misleading users about the ownership or control of that Page

Posting content or broadcasting any message that infringes on the rights of third parties (in particular their intellectual property rights), or that is of a pornographic, discriminatory, racist, violent, political, religious, defamatory, or sexual nature, and/or which may constitute bullying or intimidation of other persons

Using the name, voice, or image of any person without their permission

Using automated means to collect information from HelloTalk's Services

Interfering with any security measures protecting or disrupting (or attempt to disrupt) access to the services by any means including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing

Using the HelloTalk App in an illegal, dishonest, malicious, and/or discriminatory manner
You may be able to appeal the decision to remove the suspension. We may need to verify your account first before further action.
