Strolling through the city, I'm always amazed by the futuristic skyline of Lujiazui (featuring the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower), while the historic Bund waterfront tells stories of a century-old past. The city pulses with vibrant energy—from locals practicing tai chi along the Huangpu River at dawn to the dazzling light shows and neon-lit cruise ships at night. East and West coexist in perfect harmony here. The story follows a group of civilians hiding in the Lucky Photo Studio to escape the violence. In order to survive another day, they are forced to assist a Japanese military photographer in developing film, only to accidentally uncover photographic proof of the Japanese army's massacre of the city. Faced with such a deeply unsettling subject, the director exercised restraint, avoiding graphic depictions of the bloodshed and brutality, yet the film remains powerfully impactful. In my opinion, it is the best anti-fascist film China has produced in the past decade. By day, the city buzzes with energy, while at night, it exudes endless charm. At Jinji Lake, crowds of visitors stroll along, their faces lit with smiles, completely relaxed—perhaps this is how life should be. The shimmering lights along the lake shift and dance, and the cool summer breeze brushes against cheeks, quietly carrying away all worries. The film has a great rhythm—lighthearted and uplifting, yet also deeply moving. With breathtaking landscapes of Greenland, Iceland, and Afghanistan showcasing the extremes of human endurance, all places I dream of visiting, interspersed with touching moments of family and love, it’s such a comforting viewing experience. The protagonist harbors dreams but lacks the courage, escaping into mere daydreams. Daydreaming, like an ostrich burying its head in the sand, shelters a fragile, immature heart. Through the quest for the elusive 25th negative, the film meticulously illustrates the key points of "taking action to change your life." Due to a lack of love, he struggles to love himself or believe in his own worth. Only by stepping into action can we become the person we aspire to be. The classic line : To see the world, things dangerous to come to. To see behind walls, to draw closer. To find each other and to feel. Today, with three friends. we finally got it done. After losing several tubes of blood, we unanimously agreed to make up for it with a relaxing city walk and a big feast to ease our recent stress. We strolled to a nearby park, where lush greenery, blooming flowers, and elegant pavilions painted a picturesque scene. Elderly people sang their favorite tunes, kids played games, and the whole atmosphere was wonderfully carefree. After a long walk, we explored the city's rhythm with our footsteps and then treated ourselves to authentic Cantonese cuisine. What a perfect day it turned out to be! Along the way, whether at the airport or the train station, I noticed a significant increase in crowds compared to the past few months. Most of them were parents traveling with their children, and everyone had bright smiles on their faces. Summer vacation, as the name suggests, is a holiday during the scorching summer season. Yet, the heat couldn’t dampen everyone’s enthusiasm for traveling and exploring. It suddenly struck me that after graduation, we no longer have summer vacations, and I felt a little wistful. I couldn’t help but imagine how wonderful it would be to have a two-month-long holiday again.
