Ver en acción a estas enormes máquinas es una experiencia increíble; siempre será un privilegio poder observar de cerca y en marcha a estos “monstruos” de la ingeniería. Su tamaño, su fuerza y todo lo que representan me impresionan profundamente. Cada camión de acarreo que opera en la mina puede transportar hasta 320 toneladas de carbón o material estéril en un solo viaje —¡eso equivale al peso de más de 50 elefantes africanos adultos! 🐘🔥 I’ve always been fascinated by large haul trucks and heavy machinery. Watching these enormous machines in action is an incredible experience; it’s always a privilege to see these engineering “monsters” up close and in motion. Their size, their power, and everything they represent deeply impress me. Cuenta con un ferrocarril de 150 km, con 9 trenes diarios (5 de día y 4 de noche), transportando gigantescas volquetas y vagones con capacidad para 110 toneladas cada uno, moviendo cerca de 10 500 toneladas por viaje y extrayendo hasta 100 000 toneladas de carbón por día. (Datos informativos) It is one of the largest open-pit mines in Latin America and is part of the Drummond Ltd. mining complex, which also includes the Pribbenow and La Loma mines, as well as Cerrejón.
