I'd been wanting to go there ever since college, after hearing so many good things about it - and it didn't disappoint! The city has a laid-back vibe, unlike Manila. Even though I don't speak the Bisaya dialect, the locals were very nice and helpful. I love Samal Island, which is just a 15-minute ferry ride from the city. I changed my plan the night before from Itoshima to Saga because I think Itoshima is more ideal sightseing spot for couples 😄 Takeo is a great place close to nature. I really love the vibes and I ate the most delicious meal I've tasted during my trip! I love the mountain views inside the limited express train.
