I drove to my parents living abroad and back, then held business meetings for two consecutive days. Many moments and emotions linger as memories. Yet, each new moment demanded my focus. Such thoughts lead to the creation of the above haiku. Die Ärmel roll' halt auf, Sonst nimmst Schwitzen in Kauf! **Language**: Japanese *17 likes · 13 comments · 327 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/W3RUqjLTtSTNHD.md) --- ## 3. 8/19/2025 このアプリを使うとモメントという投稿が発行できます。実は、この「モメント」 という呼び方が表現としてとても気に入っているのです。 「モメント」というカタカナ表現が英語に由来してあり、元々ラテン語から来ている言葉です。ラテン語の単語　(movimentum、それともmōmentum) には「移動」,「短い間の時間」、「一瞬」など意味が付いています。 投稿の名前としてぴったりの表現を選んだなと思います。なぜなら、投稿する際にはある短い間の時間に起こった事や思考の移動を記すことが普段に多いですよね。つまり、ある「モメント」が言葉に変わってくることなのですね。この理由で名前が機能にぴったり合うだと思いました。 While using this application, you can write posts called 'moments'. I really find the decision to name them as such a great idea. Looking at the etymological background of the word, the 'moment' originates from the Latin expressions of 'movimentum' and 'mōmentum' These may describe among different things a movement, an instance or a very brief frame of time. This leads to the conclusion that this name is well-suited. Why? Look at the act closely, which takes place during writing a 'moment': a short time frame or the inner movements of your thoughts are transformed into written text, is that not true for the most of your posts? For this reason, I find the name fits the function perfectly. **Language**: Japanese *16 likes · 2 comments · 359 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/ptuutwRFMDPNHD.md) --- ## 4. 8/13/2025 最近、庭から見えるアルプスを越えてくる真っ黒な雨雲が近づくと、嵐が来そうなのがよく分かります。 その時、写真を撮っていませんが、軽い雲の写真を見れば、もっと黒くて深い雲が降りてくるのが想像できるかもしれません。 その想像の雨雲に以下のように気軽に挨拶してみました。英語の脚韻の練習になるかなと思いました。 コメントに日本語を使って嵐に挨拶を書いてみたい方がいませんか?　どうやって書き始めたらいいのか、全く分かってないので、参考にしたいです。 Lately it was often the case that black, thick rainclouds descended over the part of the Alps which is visible from our garden, signaling a storm approaching. I never took a picture of such an occasion. However, based on the attached picture of lighter clouds, you could imagine the arrival of such a storm descending from the mountains. To that imaginary storm I came up with a playful greeting as written below. I figured it might be useful to practice English rhymes with it. The third stanza especially could be much better. Would anyone of you attempt a poetic greeting of such a storm in Japanese? I have no idea how to start writing one. Alpine Thunder, storms that shatter As you advance, cool winds gather, Noble kestrels cry and scatter. O, you descend with regal steps Towards the Pannonian steppe The Eastern Empire's doorstep. An ancient thundery song this brings How miniscule human beings Are, among such powerful things! **Language**: Japanese *17 likes · 9 comments · 454 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/pvVOqcyRJIIjHD.md) --- ## 5. 8/11/2025 　今日、久しぶりに朝と夜にも瞑想しました。最近忙しくても、していなかった理由は時間の不足ではなくて、心境のせいだっただろうと思います。 　その心境の中では、相反する考えや感情の混乱がよく起こります。家族・仕事・友達などの話題についての心配・不満・愚痴をこぼしたい気分が込み上げ、心がそれに囚われてしまうことが、最近非常に多かった気がしました。しかし、その混乱が瞑想する時に一番気づきやすいのです。なので、目を閉じて考えに集中することが最初に楽ではありません。毎秒に違う 思考が浮かんでくることを見続けると早く疲れます。 　しかし、疲れても、筋トレのように 練習続ければいいと思います。トレーニングセッションの中に最初に集中しながら歩き、その次に座って瞑想します。この方法で集中の後に頭が落ち着く 段階が来ます。込み上げる考えの数が減ってきて、1個ずつ集中して その思考を眺められます。 　今朝に早く起きて眠かったですけど、セッションをやってからコーヒがいらなくなったほど元気になりました。 それでも、習慣するやる気が続くか、不安です。 😌 Here is an interesting snippet of etymology for you: The English word 'meditation', which is often how 瞑想 is translated, derives from the Latin word of meditātiō. This was used in multiple meanings, most of which are interesting in the context of meditation: having an intention or a plan, exercising or practicing something, and the action of contemplation itself. These aspects also completely make sense for the act of meditating: you practice contemplation or reflection with a goal in mind. Which unites multiple aspects of the original Latin vocabulary in a seemingly simple act of walking or sitting meditation. 🙂 **Language**: Japanese *28 likes · 1 comments · 353 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/L5BTM1FUJDEjHD.md) --- ## 6. 8/9/2025 本日、ウィーン生まれのホフマンスタールという詩人・著作家が書いた『友の書』を読み始めました。 最初の２つの段落は非常に興味深かったです。ネットで探せば、この日本語への翻訳を見つけましたが、いかがでしょうか。 「人は世界で、自分の中にすでに存在するものだけに気づく。しかし、自分の中に何があるかを気づくためには世界が必要であり、そのためには活動と苦しみが必要である。 　愛とその逆である憎しみは、人生の本当の学びであり、他の個人から結果を引き出すのはそれだけだからである。」 哲学的な考えだと思います。その考えが人生において彼の世界観の基本であったのでしょう。 Heute habe ich begonnen, das „Buch der Freunde" von dem Schriftsteller Hugo von Hofmannsthal zu lesen. Anbei die ersten zwei Absätze, die sofort sehr interessant erschienen: „Der Mensch wird in der Welt nur das gewahr, was schon in ihm liegt; aber er braucht die Welt, um gewahr zu werden, was in ihm liegt; dazu aber sind Tätigkeit und Leiden nötig. Die Liebe und ihre Umkehrung, der Haß, sind darum das eigentliche Studium des Lebens, weil sie allein aus den anderen Individuen die Konsequenzen ziehen." Sokrates soll gesagt haben: „Andere leben, um zu essen, ich esse, um zu leben". Jeder darf selbstverständlich seine eigene Meinung zu dieser Fragestellung vertreten. Für mich ist der Verzehr von Lebensmitteln guter Qualität wichtig. Auch aus diesem Grund besuche ich eine naheliegende Bäckerei so gerne, die vor 6 Uhr in der Früh aufsperrt um Sauerteigbrote zu verkaufen. Über das Konzept von 守破離 (Shuhari) werde ich während der einleitenden Präsentation bei einem zweitägigen Workshop kurz reden. Unbedingt notwendig war es nicht, ein bisschen persönliches Spaß darf aber doch sein, nicht wahr? 😌 **Language**: Japanese *36 likes · 21 comments · 1120 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/xQSMSMVuvOytHD.md) --- ## 9. 8/2/2025 ５月から痛い足が最近回復してきたので、最寄りの森を散歩してきました。デスクワークから一時的に離れたいという気持ちが強くなっていました。 道に最初の部分は自転車で行きました。近くのBad Fischauという小さな町の中心にある教会の前に自転車を止めて、そこからハイキングでした。 歩けば歩くほど人里から離れ、シカ・鳶などの生息地の入国する気がしていました。1時間ほど進むと、標高６００メートルの丘の頂上からSchneeberg （雪山）とHohe Wand（高い壁）という山々を見渡せました。 森閑とした自然の中で自分の心も落ち着き、岩に座ったままで瞑想していました。その間に手の上に止まった紫の蝶があの場所の陽だまりを楽しんでいたのでしょうか。 その後、Emmersbergというルートからよく見えない城跡が少しだけ眺めることができました。この城は１０世紀頃から１７世紀まで軍事目的に使われていたけど、１９世紀以降はどんどん崩れ始め、今なら危険なので立ち入り禁止になっています。 As I was passing between the vineyards on the way back to Bad Fischau, the thought kept coming to me that we humans are only temporary, busy guests on the surface of the Earth. These valleys have witnessed countless ages. Celtic, Latin and Germanic peoples, nomads of the ever-reaching steppes. Tribes, feudal and modern states. They have seen tears and smiles, birth and decay. Laßt Euch vom herbstlichen Winde nicht gegen die Fichte treiben!" 日本語訳はどうでしょうか?　自分で不十分のレベルでやってみると、こんな風になります。 「蝶よ、注意せよ。 秋風に樅に 吹き付けられるな」 詩人の名前として「Shūsen」が書いてあり、もしかして「秋扇」と呼ばれる人のの元々日本語からドイツ語に翻訳された話だろうかと思ったんです。 ですが、それに反すること少なくとも２つがあると思います。 第一は、蝶々への命令文です。 第二は、樅の雰囲気はヨーロッパっぽいということです。 どう思いますか？ これは日本の詩でしょうか、それともヨーロッパで日本の韻文に影響された詩でしょうか？ In einem Periodikum bin ich auf das folgende Gedicht aufmerksam geworden: „Hütet euch Schmetterlinge! Laßt Euch vom herbstlichen Winde nicht gegen die Fichte treiben!" Als Autor dessen wurde der Name „Shūsen" angegeben. Hinter diesem könnte der Pseudonym 秋扇 stecken. Deswegen habe ich es erst angenommen, dass diese Sätze aus dem Japanischen übersetzt wurden. Auf dem zweiten Blick jedoch, scheint einiges dagegen zu sprechen: - Der direkte Imperativ an die Schmetterlinge - Die Fichte als ein natürliches Motiv, das eher den europäischen Landschaften passt. Wie meinen die Lesenden? Könnte es sich um eine Japanische Dichtung handeln?
