Author: Yoon (@wstoryoon) Artist: 김은비/움비 (woombee) Chapters: 120 Complete Review of male leads and second lead: This story intrigued me so much because male leads are just the cliche's tropes I love in 2d guy characters jeje 😅 In Cheonyang world: • The bad guy tsundere(ツンデレ), badass, tough guy, leader of a gang, protecting type, sometimes pushy but at the end he knows boundaries 🥹. • The second male lead, childhood friend of the bad guy, sweet but has a terminal disease, singer player, try to be tough guy, like a golden retriever...😭 At first he is like the perfect partner for female lead, because he is caring, supportive and all but then he got possessive even thou female lead doesn't love him the same way. • The childhood friend who was in love with the protagonist, but the protagonist didn't know a thing about that admiration kind of love. From the real world: • The popular, good looking guy, who admired female lead because she did something he can't do. He was prejudiced of his looks all his life (At the end I can relate him with female lead, they both had low self-esteem and deserve each other) He was popular in highschool, had a wealthy family and when his dad died, he inherited his business. In highschool he helped female lead with her highschool bully, dating her highschool bully so that she stopped harassing female lead... (Obviously female lead didn't know about that affectionateness of male lead so that's the exasperating misunderstanding 😀) He fell hard for her first, in the end he even proposed to her with a couple ring. At first she didn't want to stay in Cheoyang. To return to reality there was a way for escaping from that imaginary world, a piece of paper appears as a challenge to achieved. In that paper would be written cliches phrases that characters around her must say to went back to her thirties reality. When the plot twist unfolds we begin to learn about the resembles of the Cheoyang's characters with her reality; how her first love is the badass male lead from her novel, how that misunderstanding with her best friend is resolved and more... Finally we understand that world she created was a imaginary world created by his subconscious and unconscious because she was not satisfied with her real life... Damn 😩 I know it's fantasy, but it could happens to anyone who feels dissatisfied with their reality, anyone can fall into a lucid dream where all the good that was retained in the preconscious and unconscious appears, putting the person in a dilemma because the person feels comfortable in this self-created world. It seems like a real world until the worse scenario for this mental illness could end in schizophrenia... The day she met her mother (who now is married with another man and has a new family) to tell her of the break up, she suddenly got exhausted and want to sleep in her old bedroom, that now it's basically a closet. It told the story about a boy and his unrequited childhood love, as the plot progresses he developed new feelings with a new girl who seems to be like him, an selfish girl, but she had also an unrequited love (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠), well a very bad, not fair unrequited love. She is so naive, so young to understand what love ( 恋を ) means. She thought that pleasing is loving, when you leave behind the respect that comes with caring, it's not love, it is selfishness. I read it in 2021, and this live action adaptation is just a master piece ❤️. It made my heart flutter again, just like it did when I first read the manga /ᐠ˵- ⩊ -˵マ , it was so nostalgic because that's when I had 29 years old, I know I'm not old but still a hopeless romantic woman 💕. It has the classic cliches highschool scenes. I didn't read it, but still this story captivate me a lot. It has 44 chapters ongoing. Plot: Another reincarnation story about a noble with an urge of revenge. Rinette/Lynette came from a noble family. She was in love with the second prince who was a sociopath (well for Japanese manga it would be like a yandere man). She was naive and in love. She showed him her trust, helped him with the murder of his brother the crown prince. On the other hand there's a jealousy adopted sister, who planned everything to get rid of her and her family, becoming the new queen of the kingdom with the second prince 😞. They turned her into the murder of the crown prince, they had her burned alive. In a desperate cry Rinette/Lynette claims for another chance to redeem herself and that's where her second chance to live begins. ======SPOILER ALERT======= • The second prince (Argos) is still a sociopath, yeah he is crazy in love with female lead, but he is so insecure and traumatized, that is a red flag 🙂 I can't stand him. • The crown prince (Pinberg/ Finberg) at first you will think he is the male lead, but sadly he is another insecure and obsessive like first prince with female lead, he is so passionate about her, yeah he is not so crazy an not a sociopath, but still he is a red flag 😭 • The real male lead (Pisco Adam) is the surprise of this story, is a commoner, a burglar, but an extremely good thief. he helps her by being her spy, spying her adopted sister. He is so badass, funny and sweet. He thinks female lead is a princess and he changed himself and try to be her ideal type like her favorite novel character 😅 Of course because of his insecurities he can't believe his feelings for her are reciprocate. If you're depressed with a lot of apathy toward life 😅 and frustration is your breakfast every morning, this is your kind of tea that will liven up your afternoons or evenings, where you'll laugh at the clumsiness of a perfectionist female protagonist, with a fighting spirit, insightful and transparent (with whom anyone can identify), along with a male protagonist with resilience because he loss the only loved one he had; along with his honesty and courage as a prosecutor, which will make him look like a social oddball, when he's just doing good for the common good. Oh and of course it has a serial killer 🤭 Each character has their charm, and watching 16 chapters are worth it. Even if it seems like more of the same, like is nothing new at all, still it's worth it. It opens your eyes to a new perspective on aging and how it's really impacting society today. Watching this series is a masochist choice, because you can relate and simpatize with whoever you like. This season was something I expected, but I know everyone wanted to see (SPOILER) our main lead alive and reunited with his daughter 🙂, but no the director wants a very realistic and sad ending that we human beings don't want to, because any human being wants their heroes to be happy 😅... Well the ugly true is, we, human beings like to watch the misfortunes of other human beings than our own 🙂, that's how entertaining tv is. Leaving this behind... My favorite character from season 2 and 3 was number 120 😭. And not only because I love ParkSung Hoon acting work 😂, because his transgender player has become a perfect example of inclusion. His character has captured viewers' hearts thanks to her depth, charisma, and humanity. I just love the three musketeers who should have taken the prize and left that hell behind (number 120, number 149 and number 222) they were the perfect example of loyalty and humanity... So I cried a lot their deaths 😭...
