I just completed my Master’s degree in Diabetes Care at the University of Warwick from the United Kingdom 🎓✨ I started this journey back in November 2022 while working in the Emergency Department in South Tipperary University Hospital, then moved through several hospitals and into GP training. It was a tough road, especially with personal challenges from the war in Sudan and helping my family to safety. But today, I’m so happy and thankful. This castle is over 700 years old, built in the 13th century by the FitzGerald family, and even hosted James II of England during the 17th century. It’s one of the largest medieval castles in Ireland! The staff at the front desk told me,“Go ahead and explore,” and I felt like I’d stepped back in time as I walked through the great hall it was huge and magnificent. Because it’s a bank holiday, many people will be outdoors camping or enjoying activities, and with trees in full leaf, there’s a higher risk of disruption. Kerry also celebrated their 39th Sam Maguire Cup victory in Gaelic football after defeating Donegal. Golf: Fans enjoyed the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush. Rugby: Hugo Keenan’s last-minute try gave the British and Irish Lions a historic series win over Australia 🏉. Arts & Culture: The Galway International Arts Festival filled the city with music, theatre, and dance performances. Politics & Development: The government released the National Development Plan (NDP) Review 2025, promising €275.4 billion for housing, transport, and energy. (Some people wonder how many of these plans will actually happen though 😅).
