When meeting someone for the first time: 初めまして(はじめまして Hajimemashite) 2. In the morning: おはようございます(Ohayou gozaimasu) 3. In the afternoon: こんにちは(Konnichiwa) 4. In the evening: こんばんは(Konbanwa) 5. To say thank you: ありがとうございます(Arigatou gozaimasu) 6. When saying goodbye: 失礼します(しつれいします Shitsurei shimasu)* *“さようなら(Sayounara)” is typically used when parting for a long time, or between students and teachers. ◼︎ Polite greetings at work 1. The first photo shows my figures talking to each other. You do too, right? By the way, they’re discussing whether to have ice cream or chocolate as their snack today 😂 I really love both Akira Toriyama’s designs and his personality! Here’s part of my collection. The Jump Ryu! magazine in the second photo was released about 10 years ago and came with DVDs — each issue focused on a different manga artist and showed how they draw their work, with commentary from the artist themselves. How about around you? Since SpongeBob is an American cartoon, I tried to post this exactly at 12:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time! By the way, here’s part of my SpongeBob collection! I hit the jackpot on a Dragon Quest medal game at an arcade! If you tap the image, you might see coins pouring out. You don’t win prizes, but you get a ton of medals, so you can keep playing for a long time 😆 2. I got a heart-shaped Pino ice cream! It’s the one in the bottom left! They say it appears in about 1 out of every 33 boxes. It tastes the same as the others, but it still caught my heart haha ❤️ 3. I found a house key on the street and took it to the police box! I decided to bring it in just in case someone else might use it for the wrong reasons. Recently, I’ve seen some videos about how lost wallets or phones in Japan made it back to their owners. Actually, there are also cases where items that can’t really be taken to the police, like handkerchiefs or small stuffed toys, are carefully placed on a fence or hung on a tree branch nearby. That way, if the owner comes back to look for it, it’s easier to find and won’t get dirty from the rain or the ground. Thanks to someone’s kindness, I was also able to find one of my lost handkerchiefs that way 😊 仕事が忙しくてなかなか投稿できていなかったので、最近あったささやかだけれど嬉しかったことを書いてみます😄 1. ゲームセンターのドラゴンクエストのメダルゲームでジャックポット獲得！ 画像をクリックするとコインがじゃらじゃら出ているのがわかるかも。景品ではなくコインが貰えてその分また長く遊べるんだ😆 2. アイスのピノでハートが出たよ！ 左下がハートだよ！33箱に1つの割合らしい。味は同じだけれど、やっぱりハートをキャッチされた笑❤️ 3. 道に落ちていた鍵を拾って交番に届けたよ！ 他の人が拾って悪用されないよう、念のため届けたんだ。最近、日本ではお財布やスマホを落としても届くという動画を観たけれど、交番には届けないようなハンカチや小さなぬいぐるみの落とし物が近くの塀の上や木の枝にかけてあることもあるよ。それは落とし主が探しにきた時に見つけやすいことと、雨や地面で汚れないようにかけてあるんだ。私もどなたかの親切のお陰でハンカチが見つかったことがあるよ😊 **Language**: Japanese *46 likes · 5 comments · 648 views* [View this moment](https://www.hellotalk.com/moments/pQMPyRuGSmANHD.md) --- ## 6. 6/8/2025 Wait, what?! Here are some photos of the dishes I had at one of my favorite soba restaurants, Sarashina Horii. Sarashina Horii is a famous soba restaurant that was established in 1789. In the first photo, the white soba noodles at the bottom are called Sarashina soba. These noodles are pure white because they are made from only the center of buckwheat. As shown on the bottles in the right part of the first photo, the dipping sauce for the mori soba says ‘から’ (salty), while the sauce for the Sarashina soba says ‘あま’ (milder). So Sarashina soba is typically eaten with a milder dipping sauce. * If translated literally, ‘から(辛)’ means ‘spicy’ and ‘あま(甘)’ means ‘sweet’, but in the context of soba dipping sauces, ‘からくち(辛口)’ tastes more like a salty dipping sauce, while ‘あまくち(甘口)’ tastes milder and less salty. The second photo shows soba shochu and crispy fried soba noodles. I love pairing soba with soba shochu 😆 The last photo shows soba-yu, the hot water left after boiling soba. Another famous shop is Sembikiya. Sembikiya Sohonten was founded in 1834. Kyobashi Sembikiya was established as a branch in 1881. Ginza Sembikiya was established as a branch in 1894. In Japan, you can also find fruit sandwiches at convenience stores. I’ve also read the Japanese translated version of From Hell. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know ✨ ⬛︎ Batman: The Killing Joke In one part of the joke, the word “beam” appears. While I was looking up the joke, I realized the double meaning, and that made the joke even more enjoyable. So I feel that Alan Moore’s works require a good understanding of English to fully appreciate them. That’s why I’m working hard on my English 💪 ⬛︎ V for Vendetta I’ve introduced the movie version in my previous post. Similarly, in this graphic novel version, the letter “V” appears frequently, and all the chapter titles start with a word beginning with “V.” I also love the ending of this graphic novel version, and I burst into tears at V’s final words to Evey 😭 ⬛︎ Watchmen I like Rorschach! In the movie version, Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach looked so cool, but I also like Rorschach’s unmasked face in this graphic novel version. By the way, his mask features the patterns from the Rorschach test, which is a projective psychological test 😄 ⬛︎ Saga of the Swamp Thing I like Constantine, and I found out that he originally appeared in this work, not in Hellblazer, so I read it.
