It was my second time using watercolour and I loved it ❣️👩‍🎨 I’ve never actually had a Taiyaki ice cream before, but I’d love to try it and share some together with my friends from this app when I visit Japan! Life has been busy, and I’ve been enjoying soaking in each special moment – like these beautiful orange & purple skies we had right before the monsoon season in India! ☔️🧡 While I haven’t posted much, I’ve been studying Japanese daily, and enjoying talking to my Japanese friends (who must be thankful I can say more to them now than just ありがとう and おはようございます 😂) I’m grateful to have the opportunity to learn a language as beautiful as Japanese. I’ve also learned how to use particles like [は], [を], [に], [へ], and [で], as well as how to tell time, days, dates, and prices in Japanese. It’s a lot to cover in just 5 chapters.😅 But I’m having fun! In my city, spring flowers are in bloom and I love looking at all the bright, stunning colours on trees. Only God could create such beauty! I’m so grateful for him! 🥰 My Japanese friend guided me on what to order, and it was all so yummy! We had yakitori, nigiri moriawase, and aburi chashu🤤 The chef and servers were Japanese, and were so polite and kind. I was ready to thank them in Japanese when we left, but they thanked me first in Hindi, and then my brain forgot what language to answer in 😂 Maybe next time? Lol! Work has been crazy busy, and I haven’t had the time to do much else these last few weeks 🫠 Last evening, I took some time out to have a nice tea date with my husband, and it felt so relaxing to just sip on some hot cocoa, and enjoy some delicious croissants! 🥐 Even though my days have been busy, I try to make time to study Japanese every day for at least 30 minutes! I’m scared I’ll forget everything otherwise, lol. I’m currently learning Katakana and it’s making me feel like this 😵‍💫! Anyone else feel like Katakana is just harder than Hiragana? I think it’s all the sharp angular letters that look like the number 7 in different positions 😅 But on the bright side, something happened the other day that left me equal parts amused and happy. I couldn’t remember the English word for something no matter how hard I tried, but I did remember the Japanese word and so ended up saying it in Japanese instead. Then, flavors like chocolate, strawberry, mango, rose etc., are mixed in before it’s frozen into moulds!
