I remember only being able to use romaji when texting, not knowing or able to understand a whole sentence in hiragana, and being scared when my teacher told me I would only be using hiragana, katakana and kanji leading forward. 😂 Over the course of time, I've met the kindest of people who were patient and understanding to help each orher learn a new language.
