Or are you still working on them? If so, what are the things you’ve done (or are doing) that have actually helped you make progress? For me, daily exchanges with serious language partners I met here have really made a difference. I mostly write, but I also send voice messages sometimes and I find that so much more interesting. Imo, having a few meaningful conversations is way more helpful than getting tons of short, random messages that lead nowhere. That brings me to another point : Have you been able to build real connections with people here? I feel like that can be pretty challenging. Sometimes I’m left wondering about people’s true intentions, like when someone initiates a conversation but then puts zero effort into keeping it going. I’m genuinely curious: what’s the point of making the first move just to let the conversation die right after? I feel like the way some conversations are started here reflects some of the same issues we see in consumer society : everything has to be fast, easy, and disposable. People become replaceable: you drop one conversation and jump to another without much thought, almost like collecting and ranking people, then discarding them depending on how the conversation goes. Even when people have sincere intentions at first, the overwhelming flood of messages on this kind of app can kill that sincerity. BUT here is the final color version :)) It was fun but also kinda challenging to choose a nice color combination for each character. Now that I’ve figured out the palette for each of them, I might go deeper into their design by drawing their full outfits. Still, I don’t want to only focus on these characters and limit myself on my drawing journey. I want to explore more characters, different poses, maybe even other styles. So, let’s keep going on that journey. (Also, I should remember to take breaks, drawing for hours on a screen is tough on the eyes 😬) Now that the colors are done I’d be curious to know which one you prefer! I tried to experiment with a different style for each character, which was actually really fun. Some of them make me want to explore their stories further in future drawings. I might also challenge myself by drawing men for once (not used to it, guilty). So here are my ladies (from left to right, top to bottom): Isadora – Naëma – Léandre Sierra – Yuri – Katya Meï Lin – Vesper – Cassandre Meï Lin’s pose kinda makes me laugh, she’s the one standing like :🧍🏻‍♀️ (Yeah okay, I admit it I was too lazy at that point haha) Who’s your favorite tho?
