My friend Luis had a great suggestion! That is, his family would come to the restaurant where I work, and he would like to go sightseeing with me and his family. That is, I talked for about three hours the first night we met. Even though I am a beginner in English and Spanish, they listened to me enthusiastically. A lot of jokes and humor, and some serious talk. I fell in love with them in an instant. On the second day, we went to Nara. There we fed the deer, walked slowly through the greenery, ate Japanese food, and all ate soft-serve ice cream together! They gave me a deer keychain and named it "KJAL" after one letter of our names. Now the keychain is fixed in my backpack so that it won't fall off. I asked they questions about Spanish over and over again. I am not good at remembering, but they always taught me everything with an open mind. I think my friend Luis' brain was always working at full capacity because he had to translate Japanese and Spanish all the time. Thank you Luis!! ◎ That day was supposed to be our last day together, but they suggested we spend the next day together. I was really happy to be able to spend more time together. The next day we went to Osaka Castle and Namba. I would like to write more about Luis' mother and brother here, but it's a secret because it's in my heart. I respect them very much and cherish them very much. I had such a fun time that I couldn't believe it was only the third day since we met. I really like how they spoke slowly so that I could understand, and how they spoke honestly even though I don't understand English or Spanish. I learned a lot from them and received a lot of love from them. They are so warm and loving that it's hard to put into words. ◎I am so lucky to have met such wonderful friends and their families. I am so grateful to be able to post about this experience.
