红烧肉😄 Before I got married, I couldn't cook well—my parents always cooked for me. After getting married, my husband took over the cooking, so I haven't had much chance to practice my skills, except for cooking lunch for myself on weekdays. But here's the thing: I do have a knack for cooking. I just watch some cooking videos, try to copy what they do, and it works out. Every time I go back to my hometown to visit them, it’s still my mom and dad who end up cooking for me. So this time, I’ve decided to take over the kitchen and cook for them instead. This’ll actually be my fifth time making hong shao rou, and it tastes pretty good, if I do say so myself. After my dad took a bite of the hong shao rou, he gave me a big thumb up, and he said it's perfect in color, aroma and taste. I could tell he was shocked that I could cook so well. But I just said, "Oh, it's super simple—easy as pie."And my dad said, "Yeah, you definitely get that talent from me—it’s all in the genes!"
