I see them daily from my balcony, but never did I imagine witnessing the most devastating aviation disaster in our country from that very place. The crash site was just 1.6 km away from my home and my daughter’s school. It shook me to the core. I saw the smoke rise, heard the sirens, and realized how close we were… how easily it could have been us. We were lucky — heartbreakingly lucky. My thoughts are with every soul affected. Life is fragile and unpredictable. And amidst all this, I feel an overwhelming need to ask for forgiveness from everyone I’ve ever come into contact with. If I’ve ever hurt you in any way, knowingly or unknowingly, please forgive me. Stay safe. Be kind. Hold your loved ones close. ## Images 1.
