Advent 第一是希望 小火花在混天黑地 第二是和平 安静在噪 第三是欢心 记得好的东西 第四是爱 万古长青 最后是圣子 真光来到了世上 ----- At first, the process for writing this felt more like making a vocabulary collage than really writing. Thanks to all of my language partners who helped me explore some more abstract concepts and learn a couple of new expressions and words: 相见的时刻，促膝长谈，万古长青 (all thoughts are my own though). In English, the last lines could have been Love lights fourth/Evergreen/Last is the Son/Present. But the idea of present, meaning here, a gift and attentive at the same time doesn't really seem to exist in Mandarin. Sometimes the issue of translation is like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
