For the english speakers 🇪🇸 estado - state remove the spanish 'e', stado. D and T can be quite similar phonetically, d becomes 't', stato remove the gender part (o or a ending), it becomes stat stat - is a lot closer to 'state', wouldn't you say so? gato - cat. remove the gender part, gat gat - cat [ pronounce both outloud ] tener, tiene - to have. remove the spanish 'e', tien tien - tain. see - attain, obtain, maintain, contain ( these 'tain' ending words have the meaning of 'gain' or 'to have' within them ) Once you can make some links between the WORDS as well as SOUNDS, this foreign language starts to appear less ..foreign 🙂↔️ You are welcome to comment below your Personal discoveries of word association 💬 Expect to see lots of examples.
