The Ethiopian Bible is the Oldest, Original and most complete bible on Earth. This is a monk holding Abba Garima Bible copied in the 16th century and tied with silver caps. Picture of Abba Garima Monastery in Ethiopia. According to legends, Abba Garima came from Syria and finished the Gospels in one day. Research shows that the Gospels were actually written between the fourth and seventh centuries, around the same time as other early Christian writings. What makes the Gospels special is their connection to Ethiopia; they are written in Ge’ez, the old language used in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. The Garima Gospels have been preserved at the Abba Garima Monastery for centuries, largely protected from external influences by the monastery’s remote location. Despite the age of the Gospels, they have remained in relatively good condition, thanks to the dry climate and the faithful stewardship of the monks.
