From time to time, one by one, I remember English question. That I have wondered about and that I always wondered if there's a chance to ask someone. A very well known Hollywood movie in Japan, Madison county bridge one. There's a scene like this. Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. "There're some sodas in the back of the truck if you like one." "Oh. Would you like one?" "Not right now thank you." "I will get one." I might not listen correctly but unfortunately there's no script available in my hand right now. He said "soda" and she grabbed a bottle of 7up from his truck. Is "soda" a real life word to describe that kind of drink? Or there might be some sort of limitation to use a specific product's name because it's a conversation in a movie scene so they had no way but to write "soda" in their script? Is "soda" also available word when it was a "Minutes Maid" type of non-carbonated drinks? Is cola also able to be called "soda"?
