现已成为国家级非物质文化遗产🌟🌟🌟 I ate a bit too much at noon today, haha. It's a cheat meal on Friday: Yunnan cross-bridge rice noodles, Shandong big pancakes, and a cup of mint milk green. It's a carb bomb, lol. Feeling dizzy from carbs... 😦...🤪 I just found out today why it's called "cross-bridge rice noodles" 😂. Yunnan cross-bridge rice noodles originated in Mengzi, Yunnan, China. The most widely spread legend is about the virtuous wife in Mengzi: In the Qing Dynasty, a scholar studied hard on an island in the middle of a lake. His wife had to cross a bridge every day to bring him meals, and the distance made the food easily get cold. One day, the wife discovered that the layer of oil floating on the surface of chicken soup could keep it warm for a long time. To let her husband have hot meals every day, she divided the hot soup into containers, took rice noodles and raw meat slices, crossed the bridge to the island in the middle of the lake, and blanched them on the spot to keep the fresh and tender taste. That's the origin of cross-bridge rice noodles, which has now become a national intangible cultural heritage. 🌟🌟🌟
