오늘은 "알록달록한" 한국어를 단어 공부해요 Today I learned the word "colourful" in Korean. First of all, I think it is a really cute word that suits the vibe of the meaning 🌈 Secondly, in light of the revelation ㅎㅎㅎ I thought I should add today some colour related terms for you guys. English actually has this way, many times, of using colours as a sort of an idiom for emotions, so here are a few (the usage of "he" or "she" is completely random and is easily interchangeable); • "He was red with anger" = RED ♥️ (빨간색) and ANGER (화가나다).. [I made a note in my brain to help me memorise the word for "anger" in Korean as the film "Wakanda Forever" 😜😅] • "she was green with envy" = GREEN 💚 (초록색) and ENVY (부러워하다) • "I was a bit blue today" = BLUE 💙 (파란색) SADNESS (슬프다) • "it was just a white lie" = WHITE🤍 (하얀색) this one is not necessarily an emotion, but it's when someone is telling a lie and they think that this lie will not hurt anyone. • "she looks at life with pink glasses" = PINK🩷 (분응색) once more not exactly an emotion, but kinda is, since it talks about seeing the Positive in a situation and being an optimistic person. Personally the last one is my favourite, maybe because that is the one, people usually describe my way of thinking 😉🥰 P.S. added some colour related photos to include a bit of Haeundae beach light display (not sure if it is still there, but I went around Christmas), a charter of colours with both the English and the Korean versions and a picture from my last Halloween stage performance (양극) where this year I was a zombie unicorn 🦄😜😅
