Today, I met a houseless person and had a brief conversation with him. During our talk, I suddenly realized how often we say things like, "My problems are bigger," or "I’m so unlucky," constantly complaining about our lives. But here was someone at one of the lowest points in life, and still, he said, “This is life.” I can’t say he was happy, but he was living in the moment—accepting it. Meanwhile, many of us have homes, food, and jobs, yet we often live stressful lives. We feel anxious and are rarely satisfied with what we have. We complicate our own lives even when things are good. If someone wants a luxurious life, that’s fine—it requires hard work, and it depends on our personal needs. But the problem is, we often compare ourselves to people who are richer or more successful, and in doing so, we create unnecessary stress. Admire those you look up to. Let them inspire you. But don’t forget to appreciate your own life right now. If your inner self is at peace and content, everything else will follow. Be satisfied with what you have, and move forward with a happy and positive mindset. Live a healthy and simple life, and focus less on complaints.
