If you had the power to raise one musician who passed away, who would it be? And why? Technical questions: maybe I should should use the verb "to resurrect"? Or both versions are OK? My answer below: It wouldn't be Freddie Mercury who was a great musician and composer, nor a such icon as Jimmi Hendrix or Jim Morrison. Not even David Bowie - who I really love and admire. I would choose Layne Staley- a lead vocalist of Alice in Chains. He had a very wide scale of voice, incredible vulnerability and darkness inside. There is authenticity in the lyrics he wrote, I feel goose pimples listening to his songs. Unfortunately, he had struggled with heroin addiction, and as a result he died at the age of 34. I wonder: if he had led a normal life without his experiences (drugs, etc), would he have been so authentic and such a good artist? You never know.
