Today I spent a fun and cozy day with my parents. First, we had misonikomi udon for lunch. The parking lot was so narrow that I had to concentrate hard while parking my car to avoid hitting anything, which totally drained my energy!🫠 But thanks to that tough parking experience, the udon tasted ten times better than usual🤤 There was also a host family with an American student who seemed to be learning Japanese and experiencing life in Japan. Misonikomi udon might be a bit of an acquired taste for some people, but he seemed to enjoy it! Afterward, we went to our favorite park, surrounded by beautiful nature, and enjoyed a 20-minute walk while chatting. Then we stopped by a café and had some cake and drinks🍰☕️ I had a grapefruit tart and a matcha latte. The edges of the tart tasted like little chunks of heaven. So rich and flavorful! I really love them. I wonder if someone will ever make a dessert using only tart edges!🤤 I’d definitely buy that!
