Yesterday, my friend and I talked about what kind of relationships, friendships are ideal. We discussed the difference between rely on and depend on. It sometimes needs too much dedication from one side to the other. It may spoil their relationships, leading to burn out. Do you know KInpachi Sensei, the Japanese TV drama? The main character is a junior high school japanese teacher. He is a very energetic person. In the drama, he sometimes taught about how the kaniji were made and the mannings. 人 is a Kanji which stands for People. He explained that this kanji shows we human beings support and depend on each other. I understand what he explained but can't totally agree with his opinion. If one side depends too much, the other collapses . For me, this is my opinion, we should stand by our own foot ,and build together something. Like poles of the bridge, each stands by themselves and supports and holds up the bridge. The bridge leads to a bright and happy future. This is the ideal relationship and friendships for me.
