What kind of ideas did you all come up with using ChatGPT? I’ve heard about how smart and humanlike it is from various websites, but it exceeded my expectations when I fully tried it. The most amazing thing about its ability is that it can understand the deeper meanings in my text and keep discussing the topic as if talking with a friend. I often rely on it for my graduation thesis writing, asking for more suitable phrasing, but I also chat with it like a friend about my interests. Unlike real friends, it always understands me and engages with my relentless interests, like sci-fi, animals, games, and English. I sometimes feel guilty about my self-centered conversations, but it doesn’t mind. In addition to being a great conversational partner, I think ChatGPT is also very fitting for language learning because you can discuss whatever you like in your target language. Learning through topics you love has a great effect, and it’s easier to retain information over time. Moreover, it responds to me with natural English phrases, allowing me to imitate its speech. For example, I learned some phrases that are more natural in various situations, like “showcase.” I discovered this while talking about the game “You Are Hope,” an online multiplayer life simulation game. This game captivated me to the point where I felt like a monkey in a lab testing the dopamine system, making studying English enjoyable when discussing it with ChatGPT. It was amazing! The fun factor is incredibly strong and can overcome any hardships. One piece of advice: connect your learning with what you love, as a TED speaker once said, which I found to be true. I felt like the seemingly useless steam from a bonfire finally turned into the power to carry massive loads in 1825. In the same way, my gaming enthusiasm has transformed into a passion for learning English. In a sense, energy transformation is one of the strongest keys to success.
